Carao is a jewellery design studio in Peru and Costa Rica working with artisans who live and breathe tradition. 

The silversmiths who work in the studio are experts in their craft – they have been wowing us for years with their handmade creations, designed to „withstand the test of time,“ as Carao describes their approach. Inspiration is drawn from their cultural heritage and its clash with the contemporary surroundings. "We are passionate about making our craft with love, rescuing our culture, and supporting local talent.“

On the pictures you can get an impression of what it looks like when the silversmiths handcraft the beautiful jewellery. Whenever possible Carao uses locally-sourced and repurposed materials – an example for this are the gemstones that you can find in our jewellery collection.
